mwbamwbqTheragra finnmarchica (mwbgKoefoed, 1956) è un mwbwpesce osseo marino appartenente alla mwcafamiglia mwcqGadidae. Si tratta dell'unica mwcgspecie appartenente al mwcwgenere mwdamwdqTheragra dopo lo spostamento di mwdgmwdwTh. chalcogramma (merluzzo d'Alaska) al genere mweamweqGadus.

Descrizione

Molto simile a mwfqmwfgGadus chalcogrammus (pollock d'Alaska), mwfwspecie molto più comune e oggetto di mwgapesca commerciale. Tre mwgqpinne dorsali e due mwggpinne anali. Tutte le mwgwpinne impari sono ben distanziate le une dalle altre. Il colore è bluastro sul dorso e bianco argenteo sul ventre; il dorso e la parte superiore dei fianchi sono coperti di macchie scurecite-ref-fishbase-1-0[1].

La taglia massima è di 50 cmcite-ref-fishbase-1-1[1].

Distribuzione e habitat

Questa specie è nota con certezza solo per il mwjwmare di Barents in mwkaRussia e nell'estremo nord della mwkqNorvegia. Si tratta di una specie rara. Pare che faccia vita mwkgdemersale e non sia legata al fondalecite-ref-fishbase-1-2[1].
